Octagon House Gardens
Location: Hudson, WI
The Octagon House Museum in historic Hudson, Wisconsin offers an elegant Victorian-era small wedding venue taken from the pages of regional history.
This fully restored example of 1800s novel eight-sided dwelling offers health-conscience amounts of light and air entering for eight directions.
The home was built for Judge John Shaw Moffat and his very musical family who arrived from New York in 1854 and lived in the house for 102 years and four generations. In addition to garden weddings, the complex also offers a Garden and Carriage House for smaller, indoor seasonal weddings or micro receptions.
The vast grounds on the side and back of the property includes ornate iron furniture surrounded by yews, rose gardens, climbing clematis, expanses of hydrangeas, lilies, tulips, daffodils, twisted-trunk lilac trees, ferns, summer perennials, annuals and many other varieties of flora offering an ever-changed seasonal floral bouquet.
